Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (XVII of 1887), Section 15, 121 -- Sanad takseem – Long pendency of revision/ stay application -- Revision pending before Financial Commissioner challenging the sanad issued since 2020, same has not even been taken for preliminary hearing till date – Petition disposed of with a direction to the Financial Commissioner to take up pending revision petition on 16.12.2022 along with the stay application -- Till the decision of the stay application, status quo regarding possession as it exists today shall be maintained.

1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a revision petition challenging the sanad issued during the course of partition was filed in the year 2020. The same has not even been taken for preliminary hearing till date.
2. Notice of motion respondent Nos. 1 and 2 only.
3. Mr. Charanpreet Singh, AAG accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and waives service.
4. Considering the nature of the order being passed there is no necessity to file the reply.
5. The petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned Financial Commissioner to take up pending revision petition on 16.12.2022 along with the stay application. Till the decision of the stay application, status quo regarding possession as it exists today shall be maintained.
Order accordingly.
