1. The petitioner is one of the accused in FIR No.147 dated 27.04.2020 on the file of Police Station Matlauda, District Panipat, registered under Sections 148, 149, 188, 323, 324, 326, 427, 506 and 120-B IPC. By way of this petition, he seeks grant of regular bail.
2. The petitioner has been in custody since 03.05.2020. Perusal of the FIR reflects that no specific overt acts were attributed to him. This aspect is also confirmed by Mr. Anant Kataria, learned Deputy Advocate General, Haryana. Mr. Surya Kant Gautam, learned counsel for the complainant, also does not dispute this fact. Significantly, the petitioner is presently aged about 77 years. Given these circumstances, this Court is of the opinion that he would be entitled to grant of regular bail.

The petition is accordingly allowed directing release of the petitioner on regular bail in FIR No.147 dated 27.04.2020 on the file of Police Station Matlauda, District Panipat, upon his furnishing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- along with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the Illaqa/Duty Magistrate concerned. Further, the petitioner shall not offer any inducement, threat or promise to any person connected with the case.
Petition allowed.
