Limitation Act, 1963 (36 of 1963), Section 18 – Recovery suit -- Acknowledgement of debt – Cheque dishonored – Postdated cheques -- Extension of limitation -- Payment made by the petitioner/ defendant through cheques, which got dishonoured, would tantamount to an acknowledgment of debt and liability and the period of limitation would stand extended by virtue of Section 18 of Limitation Act, 1963 -- Plea taken by the petitioner/ defendant that certain postdated cheques issued to the respondent/ plaintiff have been misused, does not cut much ice.
