Compensation in motor vehicle case -- Interest thereupon -- Employer of deceased appeared before the MACT and deposed that deceased was getting a salary of Rs.5,000/- per month -- Deceased age 40 years -- 2/3 dependency -- By applying multiplier of 15, the compensation is worked out at Rs.6 lakhs and Rs.2 lakhs for loss of consortium -- Interest at the rate of 9 per cent per annum awarded from the date of filing claim before MACT, however a period of two years shall be excluded which is to be attributed to the appellants in preferring the revision application before the High Court -- Appellants shall also be entitled to cost of these proceedings which is quantify at Rs.50,000/-.
