Duty of owner -- Compensation in motor vehicle accident case – An owner of a vehicle in terms of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act is legally obligated to get the vehicle insured -- Rights and liabilities of the parties to the contract of insurance would be governed thereby subject to the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
