Interest on delayed period -- Deceased was serving in army and getting salary of Rs.9056/- p.m. taken as to be Rs.9000/- -- Deceased was below 40 years of age at the time of accident -- So, 50% of the income of the deceased is required to be added towards the future prospects – Deceased was having three dependents i.e. his widow and two minor children -- So, 1/3rd of his income is to be deducted towards his personal and living expenses -- Keeping in view the age of the deceased, the multiplier of 15 shall be applicable – Wife also held entitled to Rs.1,00,000/- towards loss of consortium -- Minor children of the deceased, shall also be entitled to Rs.1,00,000/- towards loss of love, care and guidance -- Rs.25,000/- towards funeral and transportation charges -- Total amount of compensation comes to Rs.18,45,000/- -- Claimant will not be entitle to interest for delay period of 1736 days in preferring the present appeal.
