Motor vehicle accident – Proof of -- No report with regard to the accident was lodged with the police by the claimant -- No doubt, registration of a F.I.R. with regard to the accident is not a pre-condition for claiming compensation by a victim or in case of death by the legal heirs of the deceased victim of an accident under the provisions of the Act of 1988 -- However, the claimant is legally required to prove the occurrence of motor accident and to also prove that he had sustained injuries during the accident or in case of death that the deceased died due to the injuries received during the accident.
